First time Ive heard this as the reason for fiction. I like it.
When I started the blog, I thought it would be great to note quotations I stumble across (and give me a place to find them again!). However it’s gone on quite a while without me actually finding any, but today in a LifeHacker.com article on money, and in the context of watching Southern CA burn down, I wanted to capture this one:

Seems like an ideal to keep in mind, combatting a consumerist culture.
